Hello people(: I just came back from the NYAA camp yesterday! Right now, I am still so so so tired. Plus, I am aching at my arms and legs. Still I wanna update my bloggiie and tell you bout the camp(:Day one [ 24th Jan 07 ] :Assembled in school at 7.20 a.m. After the normal morning assembly, we went back to class to plan our route that was from the Campsite to Some place that is called the ' Police.... '. I can't rmb the name =X. Anyway, we set off for the campsite at bout ten close to eleven. When we reached we were all excited of course(= So we all assembled at the assembly ground and waited for instructions. Then it started raining and we all had to grab our bags and rush to the canteen. By the time we reached the canteen, we were drenched like wet chickens! Hahas. So once the rain stopped, we had to go and put our bags in our bunks. My class [ two-five ] is separated all over the place coz Mr Neo is our form teacher and he can't look after us since he is one of the PE teachers. So Mian, Ting, Me, Ashilah and Aeiyuni are in one group. But in the end for sleeping, Aeiyuni and I are separated from the other three. Too bad larrs. But, for the camp activities we still do it as a group. So our group ended up with 2/1. 2/1 ain't that bad lar. Except for some sicko boys. [ Trust me. They really are sick to the highest level. ] So the first day, we just did some of the elements. Our group together with 2/1 did - Abseiling and the Challenging pole. I got a chance to try Abseiling and it is FUNFUNFUN(: But din get to try the Challenging pole, coz there wasn't enuf time. Again, too bad lar. Then at night, we had OUTDOOR COOKING! It was quite fun to cook outdoors like that(: We cooked maggie mee with sausage and egg. [ My egg fell onto the floor when I cracked it, so no egg for me =X ] . Anyway, after that we had to rushrushrush for bathing and stuff like that. Then had supper and at 11.40 p.m. it was lights out. Day two [ 25th Jan 07 ] :Woke up early and met Mian and Ting to go toilet(: Ate breakfast and had some more of the elements. This time, we [ our group with 2/1 ] did rock climbing. I lovelovelove rock climbing =) . We all had a chance to try it. So when I tried, I climbed until bout the 5th/6th level then I slipped and fell. LOL. Never mind la. Can try again next tyme (: So after rock climbing we did - Team building. There was the tyre, wall and swinging thingy there. [ Sorry, I 4got the names of them. ] So we got separated into two diff groups. The group I was in did the wall first. We all successfully managed to climb up the low wall. The high wall was ok. Just that when I was climbing up, the friction was terrible enuf to scrape off my skin =X. Now I got scrapes on my index finger and elbow. It still hurts a lil. Anyway, those we in the morning. In the afternoon after lunch, we went for our Day expedition. We had to walk all the way up to Bukit Timah Hill. So we walked la. On the way, things happened. We were walking and we reached many steep slopes and a long stretch of MUD! So teacher asked us to tie our laces properly, and we did it. Then we walked forward and the mud was terrible. I walked and my whole leg practically went into the mud. Both of my shoes and part of my track pants was really muddy! Plus, my t-shirt got a lil muddy too. Aiyo. But in the end, we still had to climb and climb. It was really tiring. We climbed so much until we finally reached the Summit of Bukit Timah Hill ! Yay! We got pics to prove it =) haha. All of us definately felt a sense of satisfaction for ourselves, including ME! After resting, we had to climb all the way down again. Can you believe it? They actually had a short cut way that was un-muddy. But they made us walk the long muddy way. No matter, it was a good experience(: Once we reached the campsite, we all kena punishment coz when they gave us time to go and wash our shoe, SOME people were late and we all had to stay in push-up position until they all came back. Not only that, Mr Neo took off every min that they were late from our bath time. He also made us all take off our muddy shoes and line them up in a straight line. Then after that we must find our shoe in a rush and put them back on. In one min only! We were tired? Yes we were. Then we had to rush our dinner and report back for our NIGHT WALK. We waited for a while then we set off for the night walk. The walk was around the campsite's perimeter. But around the campsite is all forest so it was kinda dark and stuff like that. We all had to hold each other's shoulder so that we wun get lost. The front people will suddenly walk really fast or even run. So sometimes it was hard to catch up. Mian was behind me and Ting was behind her and there were some other people behind too. I was holding onto Geena in front of me. So when the night walk was finally over, we went back to the campsite and then we rushrushrushed for our bath. After the bath, we reported back to the assembly area for supper. Had hot milo and cake/biscuits. Then at 12.00 a.m., it was lights out. Definately, we were all so so tired. That we slept throughout the whole night. Day three [ 26th Jan 07 ] :Woke up early as usual. Supposed to meet Mian and Ting at 6.15 to go toilet again. But I went to look for them at 6.15 and they were still sleeping. So I went to change and then look for them again. Packed all my stuffie properly coz it was the last day and we could go home! Had breakfast and then we were supposed to have our last activity [ the element ] . But it rained and we wasted two hours! In the end, we only had one hour plus left for the ROPE COURSE. It is simply a range of elements to try out. I din try and alot of other people also didn't coz there wasn't enuf time. But Mian tried it. The Teacher sorta forced her to do it even though she totally didn't want to do it. In the end, she had no choice and she did it! [ Yay mian! ] After this rope course, we went for lunch and then we had to report back to the assembly ground with our bags. It started raining again so we had to grab our bags and head for the canteen. We left our bags there and with our classes [ yay... 2/5 ! ], we had to go and clean up a certain area in the camp site. 2/5 had to clean up Block Five. Block five is where some of the boys slept. And we all discovered that boys aren't the cleanest people at all. It room was dirty and there was alot of litter. So after the cleaning, we all took our bags and headed to wait for our bus back to school! Whee~~ In the bus, it felt good to be back with TWO-FIVE. We took pics as a memory of the NYAA camp 2007. Haish. And once back in school, we all headed Home Sweet Home! The six of us - Mian, Ting, Ping, Maine, Ber and me bought stuff to eat from the Mini-mart(: We really missed outside food! hahas. Camp was FUNFUNFUN but nothing beats home sweet home! I still really tired now. So maybe later I am gonna catch some sleep. Toodles people! [ # ] annEtte" Btw. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!!! Woots~~
