(adapted from Mian's blog) And then there was this tribe activity in the village where people had to take part in. It was like this ritual, where by there'd be people making a circle with long heavy spears. This is a ritual for the villagers to make a wish to their god or something. And then the tribe leader (?) would shout out something I don't know what its called, and we're supposed to reply something I don't what again, and then he would throw this ball thingy up and we're supposed to try catching it with the spear. So after the guys' turn it was the girls, and unluckily mian got picked out by the creepy tribe leader. LOL. None of them caught it, but after 3 tries the tribe leader said that its cause we girls are all smart enough thats why the god didn't allow any of us to catch the ball. LOL excuse excuse -.-
In the village, there was also a theme park which all of us were looking forward to going to. But so unfortunately it was raining so all we could take was the cable car -.- Haha anyway, lastly we went to this mansion where they filmed the show "romantic princess". The mansion was super so beautiful plus the scenery is like WHOA :D The pictures were took there are all so awesome.
Day three and four. 27 & 28 May ;
These 2 days we were at ChengZheng Junior High School. Mian and I were in the same class. So we met our buddies and joined their lessons and took part in their activities and stuff. ALL their lessons are in chinese except for english lesson of course where mian and I both had fun in. haha. Basically coz it was the only lesson we could seriously fully understand. All the students in the class were like trying to ask us questions in english and the way they said it was so cute. LOL.
Then that night all of us with our buddy (for my case I had two buddies) headed to this fancy place to have dinner then we went our separate ways, heading to our buddy's house to spend the night. That one night at 中茹's house was so awesome :D Her parents are so warm and loving. Her neighbour plus her neighbour's little sister came over to her house and we had a super great time. LOL.
The next day her dad sent us both to school then she sent me to the class that my school buddy, 宜琳 was in. She also passed me this note that her neighbour wrote for me and it was so sweet(: Since that day was the second yet last day we were spending in their school, we just attended lessons as per usual then we had to leave the class. SAD SAD. We took group pictures and stuff for memories. We had certain farewell programmes with our buddies then we left the school for good. I MISS ALL OF THEM (especially my two buddies) SO MUCH! All of us made many new friends, we'll all definitely keep in contact! (:
Day five. 29 May ;
We went to this huge dam called "shi men shui ku" if i'm not wrong. There was nothing there but as usual, the scenery is super WHOA. Next, we visited this so-called history museum i think. That place sold so many traditional stuff and it was pretty cool just seeing the sights.
Then we went to "toucheng nong chang" which is a farm. The farm is actually up on a mountain which is really nice. I love mountain sights :D We headed up this hill to do our first activity which was to ATTEMPT to build the fire using rocks for the sweet potatoes. My group ended up not finishing our fire but it didn't really matter since we weren't going to use the fire anyway. LOL. Had free time before the bbq dinner. We did fishing, wrote our wishes on small bamboo poles, etc. 8 of us tied our bamboo poles which had our wishes written on them together and Jia jun threw it up onto the wishing tree and it landed perfectly on the tree on the first try! We are the lucky 8! (: So awesome! All of us even went through this maze thing and had so much fun just trying to get out. We were like laughing and walking all the way. HAHA.
After dinner, we went to make our lanterns, "tian deng". All of us decorated it and wrote our wishes on the lantern using paint. We ended up using the paint to draw on each other's faces and arms. LOL. After we were done, we went outside to light the lantern and send it flying up to the sky! We all cheered so loudly coz it was such a pretty sight and the lantern flew up so high! :D I even got a video of our lantern going up into the air! (I might post it next time!) Then we went uphill again to eat the sweet potatoes. Of course it wasn't cooked by us. HAHA. All of us were like a bunch of crazy people just playing around. so fun :D
Day six. 30 May ;
Went uphill again in the farm to plant wheat in the padi fields. Well, not everyone tried it. I didn't. lol. The rest of us went around taking other pictures with the artefacts around the area. We watched how rice was made and we also tried making our own soya bean! (Nope, we didn't really drink the soya bean we made. It was just for fun. haha.) Then we went to feed the goats! ahhh~ THE CUTE CUTE GOATS. Mian and I then went to the chicken coop to pick chicken eggs. They are kind of cute but they smell. seriously. LOL. We also went to pick fruits and cucumbers. Saw water buffalos, peacocks, etc.
After lunch, headed to the crab museum. Nothing much, we just saw many types of crabs like GIANT CRABS. Yeap, it looks kind of scary coz of its size. Ate snacks there and we even played at the playground to kill time. haha. Back at the farm we made our very own t-shirts! Self-painted! :D After that, rested in the room then went to do our group presentation. Luckily teacher said that our group didn't do that bad even though there wasn't much preparation. =x
Day seven. 31 May ;
ONE WHOLE DAY OF SHOPPING! Went to Xi Men Ding then Shilin Night Market. Bought loads of stuff! :D
Day eight (last day). 1 June ;
Before heading to the airport to go back home, we went to this museum to learn about fire safety and also earthquake safety? LOL. I don't know. We just learnt how to save ourselves during a fire and earthquake. We even sort of 'experienced' a fire and an earthquake through the activities they organised. During the stimulation of an earthquake, all of us were still laughing while the 'ground' was shaking. -.- We so wouldn't be laughing if it was real. lol.
Then we went to this shopping mall to grab a small bite before heading to the airport. Did some last minute food stuff shopping to bring back home then off we went. BACK TO SINGAPORE :D It was so crappy while we were waiting to board the plane. All of us kind of went nuts taking pictures and just fooling around while waiting for time to pass. haha.
